LFO
Control
Move any value over time
Moves one value between two ends at the rate you set. Sine moves smoothly back and forth. Ramp sweeps from From to To, then jumps back. Square holds each end for half a cycle, then jumps to the other. Abrupt volume or position changes may click. Phase staggers matching LFOs; Equal pitch gives frequency sweeps equal time per octave. LFOs with the same rate keep their offsets while playing. Changing their rates separately can put them out of step until you restart. Draw a control cable from its diamond to the diamond of the value you want to move. The value goes back to what you set when you switch the LFO off or stop playing.
Settings
- Bypass
Stops the LFO moving its value, which goes back to what you set.
- Values
- On or off
- Default
- Off
A control node can move it.
- Shape
Sine moves smoothly back and forth. Ramp sweeps from From to To, then jumps back; set From above To for a falling sweep. A Ramp switch changes to To halfway through each cycle; a choice visits each choice between the ends in order. Square jumps between the two ends, holding To while Sine is above its middle and From otherwise. Switches and choices jump between From and To too, skipping choices in between.
- Choices
- Sine, Ramp or Square
- Default
- Sine
- Rate
How many times a second it moves from one end to the other and back.
- Range
- 0 Hz to 9.549 Hz
- Step
- 0.01 Hz
- Default
- 0.9549 Hz
A control node can move it.
- Phase
Where the cycle starts, in degrees. 90 is a quarter cycle ahead; 360 is the same as 0. Changing Phase during playback shifts the wave immediately.
- Range
- 0° to 360°
- Step
- 1°
- Default
- 0°
- Spacing
Linear moves in equal steps of the value. Equal pitch gives a Ramp frequency sweep equal time per octave when both ends are above zero hertz. Other values, or an end at zero, stay linear. Square always jumps straight between the ends.
- Choices
- Linear or Equal pitch
- Default
- Linear
Change
- From
One end of the range it moves the value through.
- Value
- In the terms of the value its Control cable moves
- Default
- The lowest that value can be
- To
The other end of the range it moves the value through.
- Value
- In the terms of the value its Control cable moves
- Default
- The highest that value can be
Connections
- Control
It moves one value on another node, through a control cable from this diamond.
