Sampler
Sources
Play a sample as an instrument.
Choose an audio file, connect the output to Speakers, and start playback. Turn Play note on to hear it, then off and on to play again. For a performance pad, leave Play note off and connect a Trigger to it. Cable it into a 3D Environment to place it around the listener: X, Y and Z say where, in metres. In that mono connection, Pan affects the level and fully right is silent. Note 60 plays at the sample’s recorded pitch; twelve notes higher doubles the pitch and halves the duration. Samples play once, with one held note, and a changed note starts again. The sample is prepared as 32-bit integer PCM at the graph’s rate: values beyond full scale are clipped, and instrument key ranges and loop metadata are not used. The original file stays in the document. Soundbanks and external MIDI are not supported.
Settings
- Sample
Choose audio to copy into this document. No sample means silence.
- Value

A control node can move it.
- Note

A control node can move it.
- Velocity
The strength of the next note. Zero is silent; a change takes effect at the next note-on.

- X
Where a 3D Environment places it, from left to right, in metres.
- Range
- -250 m to 250 m
- Step
- 1 m
- Default
- 0 m
A control node can move it.
- Y
Where a 3D Environment places it, from down to up, in metres.
- Range
- -250 m to 250 m
- Step
- 1 m
- Default
- 0 m
A control node can move it.
- Z
Where a 3D Environment places it, from front to back, in metres.
